What is boudoir photography?

The term Boudoir photography has been around since not long after the camera was invented, over the years it has grown to encompass a wide range of styles from slightly suggestive or sexy but not too revealing to full nude, whatever your preference the aim is to produce a set of prints that make you look a million dollars.

It can be for your own satisfaction, as a gift to yourself or increasingly popular as a gift to the man in your life. What more personal wedding gift could you give him than a beautiful set of prints of the goddess he is about to marry.

As with my portrait shoots, with Boudoir it is even more important that the subject is relaxed and comfortable with the process, we always meet and discuss the type of shots the client has in mind, the amount of their body they are comfortable to reveal, the purpose of the shoot etc.

On the day, depending on the clients requirements we can also provide hair and make up artists to give you a make over, many clients prefer to bring along a friend or do this themselves.

Whatever your preference, as with the pregnancy shoots, I am always assisted by one of my adult daughters.

On a boudoir shoot this helps relax the client and provides a female perspective on things.
